Waking Up With A Feeling of Dread

✨ Intro
Most mornings begin not with sunlight, but with a sinking feeling deep in the body.
That quiet, heavy “something’s wrong” that you can’t quite name.
If you know that feeling, you’re not alone — and there’s a gentler way forward.
Every story has drama.
Do you wake up some or every morning with that feeling of dread?
I did.
Sometimes I still do — honestly, for as long as I can remember.
I assumed it came from my childhood.
Now I know it may also come from ancestor trauma or a past life.
There can be more than one type of trauma to release.
I thought this feeling was normal.
Then I asked my husband if he ever woke up feeling dread.
He said no — hardly ever... in his whole life.
So… not everyone feels this way.
And that realization opened a door:
If some people wake up without dread, then maybe I can learn how to as well.
How I’m Healing the Feeling
I’ve tried many things — and I’ll keep trying more.
But to start, these steps changed everything for me.
Most days I awaken now with a light feeling, a feeling of hope!
It didn't happen overnight, but it did happen and can happen for you too...
1. Intention
You have to want to wake up differently.
Ask for it.
Claim it.
Keep putting that request out into the universe.
Your intention is the first light in the dark.
2. Love
Start feeling how much you love yourself — and how much your guides and the universe love you.
For me, meditation is where this opens up that feeling, that knowing.
When I sit with myself, I hear those inner whispers. I go to incredible places.
I receive messages from my guides that remind me of who I really am.
Love lifts the heaviness.
3. Affirmations
Speak to yourself with truth and tenderness:
I AM enough.
I AM strong.
I AM beautiful as I am.
I AM smart.
I AM unique — there’s no one like me.
And I accept myself fully.
I put me out into the world.
Write them on Post-its.
Put them on your phone.
Say them several times a day.
The more your soul hears these words, the more it believes them.
When You Wake Up With Dread
Feel it.
Don’t push it away.
Then gently start to shift:
Move into gratitude.
Thank the universe for helping you release the fear.
Thank it for guiding you into a lighter day.
Thank it for holding you while you grow.
This is the behind-the-scenes work… the part of the movie no one else sees.
✨ Ending
Little by little, the dread softens.
Little by little, the mornings feel lighter.
You'll find other methods that also help you, that feel right.
And one day, you notice something beautiful:
you wake up not with fear… but with possibility.
Your story is changing — because you’re changing.
And every small shift is a scene worth celebrating.
Find your inner movie star.
