What if it’s really not that difficult to open the gate?
This is the story of how a simple thought turned into a fun road trip.

Doubt Before the Dream
I can’t do it. It’s too difficult.I don’t know where to start. It’s easier not to do anything. It’s comfortable to stay the same.
But dang… it sounds like so much fun!
Then one day, an idea pops into your mind — and suddenly, you feel that spark of excitement. You can’t stop thinking about it. You feel motivated, inspired.
That’s when you know it’s time to step into your own movie.
Start writing your screenplay. Make the calls. Take the small steps — because step by step, it all becomes possible.
The Dream: Glamping Across the U.S. and Canada
For a few years, my husband and I dreamed about glamping through the U.S. and Canada.
We’ve always loved to travel, but since moving to Puerto Vallarta in 2016, our focus was mostly on building our business. We visited family in Chicago and Seattle now and then, but it wasn’t until 2023 — after starting to travel internationally again — that we began thinking seriously about exploring North America in an RV.
There was only one problem: we couldn’t decide how to do it.
The Back-and-Forth
“Let’s travel in an RV trailer or fifth wheel.”“No, let’s buy a car and stay in hotels.”“Maybe a small van would be perfect.”“A van might be too small… maybe we should go bigger.”
Round and round we went.
Finally, we decided on a van. Then my husband spoke to a friend — someone who’d started RVing last year and knows us well.
He said, “A van? Too small for you two.”
He was right. We’d be living in it for weeks or months at a time. We needed space, comfort, and a sense of home.
So… an RV it is!
Making It Happen
We ordered a brand-new RV and truck over the phone — sight unseen. Three months later, we picked them up.
Was it a lot of work figuring it all out while living and running a business in Mexico?Absolutely.
Was it worth it?
100%.
Because once you make a decision and start taking action, the path gets clearer.
You can manifest what you want — one small, deliberate step at a time.
March 2025 — The Adventure Begins
The weather was chilly, but we didn’t care. We were ready to pick up our truck and trailer, hike a little, shop (a lot) for necessities, then store them and fly back to Puerto Vallarta until spring arrived.
Hello, One-Ton GMC in Spokane, Washington

Our New Brinkley at General RV in Salt Lake City

We drove from Salt Lake City to St. George, Utah — our first mini road trip in our new home on wheels.

Life on the Road
In St. George, we spent ten days:
Shopping and organizing our RV
Learning how to take care of it
Adding personal touches (Persian rugs and Oaxacan pillows!)
Sneaking in a few hikes through stunning slot canyons, coral pink sand dunes, Zion

The dream was finally real — and it was even better than we’d imagined.
My character Larleen's thoughts about going for it...
From Thought to Reality
What started as “maybe someday” became “we’re doing it.”
Every big dream starts with a thought, followed by action — and a little faith.
This chapter is now one of the brightest scenes in our movie.
Be your inner movie star.
