My Trailer Trash Dream
Updated: Oct 8
Every movie star has a story about the moment they realized life could be a little more... unscripted. For me, it started with a character named Larleen — and a dream that rolled right off the page and onto the highway.
Yes… turns out I am like my character, Larleen.
I had a dream to travel around the country in an RV — and it happened!
Turns out… I am trailer trash, haha!
We weren’t sure we’d love RV life.
We weren't even sure how many months we'd try it.
But renting one was so expensive that we decided to buy a truck and trailer instead.
Our thinking was: if it didn’t work out, we could always sell them and still come out ahead — instead of spending all that money on a several-month rental.
Turns out, we both love it!
For the past two summers, we’ve spent five months on the road each year, traveling through 26 states and discovering oodles of stunning, unusual, interesting and heartwarming places along the way.
Here’s a little peek behind the scenes of our new home on wheels 🚐
See how we made it our own…
Sometimes the best stories aren’t filmed in Hollywood —they’re lived on the open road.
Maybe your next scene isn’t waiting for you to find it —maybe it’s already parked right outside!
Be your inner movie star.
